Biography
Dan was born in Anchorage, Alaska on November 13, 1962. He was raised in an active family and was exposed to many different outdoor activities. Photography was a great way to record his experiences and convey the beauty of our natural world to others. The desire to portray different ways of life led him to photojournalism.
Dan is self taught and has been a professional photographer since 1993. He lives in the Aleutian Islands of Alaska on his 37 foot sailboat.

His work has been featured in numerous calendars as well as post and note cards. Dan has worked on productions for The Discovery Channel and National Geographic Television. He is currently producing and shooting a documentary on the Aleutian Islands.
